Over 20 years ago, Carlos trained inside the WALA environment — where botanical precision, mineral-based remedies, rhythmic processes, and disciplined manufacturing weren’t concepts… they were daily reality. That early training taught one thing that never left: treat materials with intelligence and respect.

Later, illness and a major health turn changed everything. The path became personal. Healing wasn’t theoretical — it was survival, devotion, and the long road back. That’s where fascia work became the doorway.

In the last months of her life, Carlos studied with his great-grandmother, Honorable Amanda Aparicio Hercules. He cared for her through a stroke and received teachings he describes as direct transmission — the kind you don’t get from the internet.

She told him: “You will make a cream one day.” But first, he had to understand the human body. Massage. Western and Eastern modalities. Study. Practice. Observe. Learn what actually changes tissue over time. At the time, it sounded like a distant future. Now it makes perfect sense.

Over 15 years and thousands of sessions, one need stayed consistent: clients with dehydrated, brittle fascia needed support between sessions. Not another skincare product. Not another pharmacy workaround. Something fascia-first — engineered for glide, hydration, and regulation.

ZΩMA wasn’t created as a vibe — it was created under pressure. It helped restore Carlos’s hands and arms when they were breaking down from the work. Later, Michelle began using it for her neck after a serious injury, supporting her return to free movement and strength. These are personal stories — and they’re part of why we refuse to dilute what ZΩMA is.

The last two years were devoted to taking everything learned — the craft, the lineage, the clinical reality — and building ZΩMA into a real-world ritual, alongside writing the book Fascia: The Living Network. And through it all, music stayed in the bloodstream — rhythm, precision, devotion — the same frequency that built this.
